Please read these terms carefully before enrolling in any Verandi programme. By submitting an enrolment enquiry or completing a booking, you acknowledge that you have read and accept the conditions set out below.
1. About Verandi
Verandi is an educational reading programme organiser registered in Singapore. Our programmes are reading-led and discussion-based in nature. Verandi does not hold any licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore to provide financial advice or regulated financial services. Nothing in our programmes, materials, or communications constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
2. Scope of Programmes
Verandi's programmes are designed for educational and personal development purposes only. The content covered in each programme — including household financial management practices, long-horizon planning frameworks, and overviews of Singapore's national retirement landscape — is provided for reading, discussion, and personal reflection. No product recommendations, investment advice, or regulated guidance is offered at any time.
Participants are encouraged to consult qualified, licensed professionals for advice specific to their individual circumstances.
3. Enrolment and Booking
Enrolment in a Verandi programme is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation from Verandi. Submission of an enquiry form does not constitute a confirmed booking. Verandi reserves the right to decline any enrolment at its discretion.
Each programme operates within a fixed cohort size as stated in the programme description. Places are allocated on a first-confirmed basis. Where a cohort is full, Verandi may offer placement on a waiting list at its sole discretion.
4. Fees and Payment
Programme fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise noted. Full payment is required to secure a confirmed place. Verandi will issue a payment confirmation upon receipt of cleared funds.
Fees are reviewed periodically. The fee applicable to your enrolment is that confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling by the Participant
If you wish to cancel your confirmed enrolment, please notify Verandi in writing as soon as practicable. The following conditions apply:
- Cancellations received more than 14 calendar days before the first session date: a refund of 80% of the programme fee will be issued.
- Cancellations received between 7 and 14 calendar days before the first session date: a refund of 50% of the programme fee will be issued.
- Cancellations received fewer than 7 calendar days before the first session date: no refund will be issued.
Verandi may, at its discretion, offer a transfer of enrolment to a future cohort of the same programme in lieu of a refund, subject to availability.
6. Cancellation or Rescheduling by Verandi
Verandi reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule any programme session due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to insufficient enrolment, venue unavailability, or unforeseen operational constraints. In such cases, Verandi will provide reasonable advance notice and offer participants the option of transfer to a rescheduled date or a full refund of the programme fee paid.
Verandi's liability in the event of cancellation is limited to the refund of programme fees paid. No additional compensation will be offered for consequential costs such as travel, accommodation, or time.
7. Programme Materials
Physical materials distributed as part of a programme — including printed workbooks, reference cards, vocabulary booklets, and reflection notebooks — are provided for the personal use of the enrolled participant and remain the intellectual property of Verandi. Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Verandi.
Access to any follow-up reflection circle is provided as a supplementary element of the programme and is subject to availability and scheduling. Participation in reflection circles is voluntary.
8. Conduct and Participation
Participants are expected to engage with fellow cohort members and Verandi facilitators with courtesy and respect throughout all sessions. Verandi reserves the right to ask any participant to withdraw from a programme if their conduct is considered disruptive, offensive, or otherwise inconsistent with the collegial reading environment Verandi seeks to maintain. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Singapore law, Verandi's total liability to any participant in connection with any programme — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — shall not exceed the programme fee paid by that participant. Verandi accepts no liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising in connection with participation in a programme.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Verandi's negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
10. Intellectual Property
All content produced and distributed by Verandi, including programme materials, written content, and reading guides, is protected by copyright and remains the property of Verandi or its content contributors. Unauthorised reproduction or commercial use is not permitted.
11. Privacy
The collection and use of personal data in connection with enrolment and participation in Verandi's programmes is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms and conditions. Verandi handles personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (Singapore).
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
13. Amendments
Verandi reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions from time to time. The version applicable to your enrolment is that in effect at the date your booking is confirmed in writing. Updated terms will be published on this page.
